Donations of any amount are appreciated. Public recognition is given for donations in excess of $100. Mission:

  1. To honor the heritage of the United States of America.
  2. To honor those who have served faithfully to preserve our freedoms.
  3. To educate children about our heritage of freedom.
  4. To celebrate Independence Day with a traditional Fireworks show.

Patriotism:

Celebrate America (CA) promotes good old American Patriotism in three ways:

  1. CA holds school assemblies.
  2. Works with and helps military veterans.
  3. Holds one of Northern Indiana’s finest Fireworks Displays

#1 – CA holds assemblies in Goshen Public Elementary and Middle Schools, using military veterans to teach our children why America is still the home of freedom in the world. CA also holds an essay contest in Goshen Middle School where the top 5 essays all earn a free trip to Washington D.C. to tour our nation’s capitol.

#2 – CA helps military veterans, when possible, with some of the challenges they face as they grow older. CA also partners with local veterans organizations to help send WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans to Washington D.C. to tour the city and the various memorials of their service to our country. As many as 65 have participated in these trips in the past.

#3 – CA holds one of Northern Indiana’s finest Fireworks Displays along with a patriotic program involving local talent, every year on the Sunday nearest to July 4th. CA is graciously allowed to use the grounds of the Goshen Municipal AirportĀ and a full evening of patriotic music that honors God and Country is topped off by almost 30 minutes of “no dark sky” fireworks! This event draws over 20,000 people every year.

Celebrate America is a non-profit organization that is funded solely through the donations of private citizens. No public funding is provided. CA is currently seeking donations to help fund our 2013 (and beyond) programs. All donations of any amount are deeply appreciated and for those who are able to give larger amounts there are Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels that are publicly recognized and honored each year.

For more information, or to make a donation, please contact CA President Dr. Greggory Lanzen at glanzen@fbcgoshen.org, or CA Treasurer Mrs. Darla Kauffman at dkkauffman@fsbmiddlebury.com, or call her at the First State Bank of Middlebury, at (574) 825-2166. All donations to CA are tax deductible and a tax receipt can be issued.
